PROUD OF OUR HISTORY

Our company began with one man, Mel Radmall, in 1973, as an ornamental iron company focused primarily on residential construction.   Since that time, our goal has been to expand our company to succeed in a growing steel fabrication market both locally and throughout the United States.  We have over 40 years’ experience in steel fabrication.  Even though we no longer focus on residential ornamental iron, through our name, WOI Steel, we seek to remember and honor our past.  After all, we are proud of how far we’ve come.

In addition, we make sure that our fabrication team gets out of the shop regularly to actually see the buildings we work on, and how they are erected, so they KNOW what goes on once steel leaves the shop floor, and why their individual contributions matter.  Our employees are proud that their steel fits well, because they’ve seen how it fits.  We are not surprised when our erectors tell us things “fit like a glove.”

We have detailers who understand steel and have experience in not just drawing, but in building with steel, and engineering, so, they know what works in the real world. We give you steel solutions that save time, money and provide a precise fit.

PRECISION IN THE EQUIPMENT AND QA

We use technologies, software, and quality control measures that ensure each piece of steel leaves our shop and fits exactly when, where, and how it should on site.

PRECISION IN OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY

Because we want our steel to be the most precise it can, we value the safety of every employee. We realize that after they leave our shop, each member of our team has loved ones who depend on them, and we want them to be safe. We are happy to say our safety rating has remained low, at EMOD .74.

When we start a project, we finish it.  Period.  We are here for you, and your client.  From our first estimate through to final inspection and beyond, you can trust us to provide solutions that help a project run smoothly, and to exceed what is just required.  We strive to be ahead of the schedule and on budget, working together with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and architects.  When WOI works on your project, we are there through every step of the process and our doors, phones, inboxes and ears are open.  We like to see a great building done right and know that we worked through it to the end.
